I originally was unsure of what article I wanted to tackle for this project and so I thumbnailed several different ideas, including LGBTQ+ awareness and debilitating school curriculum.
Black & White Compositions
I settled upon an article about the opioid crisis and worked up two different compositions that illustrated dependency and also imprisonment.
Rendering Process
Before Revisions
I changed the posing of the figure from my black & white compositions to the final because I felt this dynamic pose actually communicated the agony that addiction causes.
Final
I decided to add more information on the pill bottle and refine the character a little bit more. I also added a shoe behind the character to show perspective.
